It is with deep regret that we announce the death of David Elder.
Dearly loved husband of the Late Ruth Elder.
Much loved father and father-in-law of Alison & Pat Darbyshire, John & Anne Elder and Roslyn Elder.
Cherished grandfather of Lucy and Elise.
Loved brother and brother-in-law of Helen and the Late Bill Glasby, Janet & Peter Torrens and Ken & Shelly Elder.
David passed away peacefully at St Vincents Private Community Hospital, Griffith, on Tuesday 25th June 2024, at the age of 87 years.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to celebrate his life with a service to be held at the Presbyterian Church, Griffith, on Monday 15th July 2024, commencing at 11:00am.

My condolences and sympathy to the Elder families on the death of David. I think I first met David at the Griffith Show in about 1947-1948, but I do not remember the occasion, and I doubt he would have, either. I would have been about six years old, and David about 11 years old. Of course, I saw David from time to time at various family functions and similar events over the years at Rockall Mains and Griffith. It is the end of an era.
